George-Emmanuel Lazaridis won the Worthing Piano Competition in 2000 playing the Chopin Second Piano Concerto. He makes a welcome return with Beethoven’s magisterial ‘Emperor’ Piano Concerto, the work originally written in praise of Napoleon before he went ‘bad’. A fun Rossini overture and one of Mozart’s greatest symphonies complete an afternoon of Classical highlights.

Marcus Martin and the Alassio Concert Orchestra make a welcome return to present their annual pre-Christmas concert which includes music from opera and ballet as well as several ‘lighter’ pieces. They are joined by guitar soloist Andrew Gough who will perform Vivaldi’s guitar concerto, and Worthing Philharmonic Choir will contribute seasonal choral items including two carol settings by John Rutter, in triumphant style.
