It’s a cliché to say that ‘fifty is the new thirty’ but in many ways, it’s true. Fifty, sixty, seventy year olds and upwards live longer, healthier lives and expect far more from their time on earth than previous generations.
East Sussex Over 50s Show will not be focused on accepting one’s lot…though at the same time it will avoid the over-the-top, artificially upbeat approach that typifies so much communication to those who are middle-aged and older.
Tickets : in advance £5 ; on door £6

"It's a rich and heady brew, utterly enthralling...a modern classic" Whatsonstage.com
"Brilliant, a superb production" Basingstoke Gazette
“A play is a world in itself. A tiny colony we could say. And you are in charge of it. That is a great responsibility”
Australia, 1789. An ambitious young lieutenant, Ralph Clark, is set the task of directing newly arrived convicts in the Restoration comedy The Recruiting Officer. Faced with a cast of thieves, prostitutes and murderers Ralph struggles to unite his motley selection of players. Against the back drop of the creation of a new society and caught in the midst of an epic battle of power between the Governor and the sadistic Major Ross, Ralph soon finds that making theatre is much harder than it looks- especially when he finds one of leading ladies in chains and the other in his bed!
Featuring a much feted ensemble of actors led by recent award winner and TV favourite Aden Gillett, Our Country’s Good is an inspirational and comic take on one of the most unlikeliest true stories ever told.
Don’t miss the last chance to see this Olivier award winning play in this critically acclaimed production from The Original Theatre Company.
