Be dazzled, bewitched and enchanted by sumptuous orchestral music inspired by devilry, witchcraft and spells.
Night on a Bare Mountain, used by Disney in Fantasia, is one of the BBC’s Ten Pieces for schools and is justly famous for its vivid evocation of a witch’s Sabbath. Paganini was known as the Devil’s Violinist, and his 24th Caprice has spawned numerous variations, of which the most famous is Rachmaninoff’s hugely popular Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini.

Great anticipation always surrounds the collaboration of WSO with the mighty Wurlitzer in the expert hands of Richard Hills. We celebrate the 90th anniversary with a new concerto for Wurlitzer and orchestra by Sussex composer Paul Lewis, known to millions for his film and TV music.
The concert is also a tribute to Keith Emerson – Worthing’s famous Rock son and who was due to collaborate with WSO before his untimely death.
Concert supported by the William Alwyn Foundation
